Our Story

At Monica & Kwesi Love Fields, we believe the land is more than soil and crops. It is a teacher, a source of nourishment, and a living classroom. When we care for the land, we create the conditions for people, communities, and future generations to thrive.

Located in Abreshia in Ghana’s Central Region, Love Fields is a growing regenerative agriculture and community learning initiative founded by Monica and Kwesi Brown. We are creating a place where farming, education, environmental stewardship, cultural knowledge, and community come together.

Our vision is simple: to grow healthy food, restore the land, share knowledge, and empower people.

Through regenerative and agroecological farming practices, we are learning how to work with nature rather than against it. We grow vegetables, herbs, and other crops while nurturing the soil, encouraging biodiversity, reducing reliance on synthetic inputs, composting organic materials, and exploring sustainable ways to care for the land.

But the harvest is bigger than what grows in our fields.

We are cultivating knowledge, confidence, opportunity, and connection.

Love Fields is being developed as a living classroom where young people, farmers, families, and community members can gain practical knowledge about growing food, seed saving, composting, agroforestry, herbal plants, and environmental stewardship. We believe that when people have the knowledge and resources to grow, they become better equipped to nourish themselves, their families, and their communities.

Our work also extends beyond the farm. Through community initiatives, educational programs, seedling distribution, youth engagement, and partnerships, we are working to make the knowledge and abundance of Love Fields accessible beyond our own land.

At Monica & Kwesi Love Fields, we believe farming is more than growing crops. It is a path to holistic growth and transformation. Our approach nurtures the land, the community, and the individuals who work alongside it. We help young farmers and visitors discover their potential, connect deeply with nature, and develop practical skills that empower lasting change.

Through hands-on training (Work Learn Earn Program - WLEP) of Grow West Africa, Wurompo, Wenchi, Bono Region, Ghana , sustainable farming practices, and a focus on mindful stewardship, we cultivate not only the earth but also confidence, responsibility, and a sense of purpose. Every seed planted and every lesson learned contributes to growth that is authentic, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling.
